Willard B. Wong, MD
Dr. Wong is a board certified orthopedic surgeon with a specialty in spinal surgery of the neck, middle and lower back. He also performs less invasive surgeries including kyphoplasty for osteoporotic fractures, microdiscectomy for pinched nerves and disc replacement or fusion surgery for chronic debilitating low back pain. Dr. Wong utilizes physical therapy options and non-operative treatment options, in addition to the most up-to-date surgical procedures, all of which are tailored to the specific needs of each patient. Dr. Wong received an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of Hawaii and his medical degree from the University of Hawaii Medical School. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency in Phoenix, Arizona and completed his fellowship subspecialty training in spinal surgery of the neck, middle and lower back at Harvard Beth Israel Hospital. Dr. Wong is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, North American Spine Society and the California Orthopedic Association. Dr. Wong was born and raised in Hawaii. Upon completing his fellowship training in 1994, he joined Precision Orthopedics and has been living and practicing in Salinas since that time. He enjoys mountain biking and has volunteered for the Big Brothers-Big Sisters program of Monterey County.
